Our programs content includes, resources and exercises that meet the Six Merit Badge Requirements 

SCUBA Certification is Divided into Three Sections.

1.   Academics: Via the Open Water CD-ROM which is the computer program assistant to the Open Water Diver certification course.  This course details diving history, oceanography, marine life, the physics and physiology behind the sport of diving, scuba diving equipment, as well as an in-depth training of basic scuba diving skills and techniques.

Once enrolled, the student will issued the SCUBA CD-ROM, complete sections one and two, then begin the pool sessions.

2.   Confined Water Training: The next step will be to complete your in-water skill-development training. This takes place in the swimming pool, under the supervision of an SCUBA Instructor.

Pool sessions are on Sunday mornings from 8:15am until 11 or 12, depending on your schedule.  Pool sessions will be scheduled throughout the fall and winter.

3.   Open-Water Certification: The final step to SCUBA certification is to complete the required number of open-water training dives (four) under the supervision of one of our Instructors. Here we'll apply what was learned during your academic and skill-development pool sessions, while learning practical lessons that can only be gained through real-world experience in open water.

Certification weekends are scheduled once a month at the lake, throughout Spring and Summer.

v  Usually four to six pool sessions are necessary to prepare a student for the certification dives.

v  Four successful dives, over no less than two are required for certification.
